Nkechi Cecilia Odebiyi

|Mrs. Nkechi Cecilia Odebiyi is the Executive Director of Virgins pride Foundation an organization she received a divine mandate to establish in 2008. She is a certified trauma care specialist from jars institutes USA. Nkechi is a family reconciliation expert and has been a youth coach for more than 15 years.
Nkechi has Master’s Degree in public Relations and Advertising from University of Lagos. She advocates from Zero tolerance for Domestic and Gender Based Violence. She operates a food bank through which she gives out foodstuff on a monthly basis to widows and the elderly in Ikorodu community.
Mrs. Odebiyi has empowered some community women/widows with soft loans to boost their small businesses. Continually, she gives educational support to indigent students and offers free counselling and trainings to school counsellors and free therapy to depressed students. She offers free therapy and counseling services to survivors of GBV and seek for justice for some as well as report their case to the appropriate authority.
Nkechi is an active member of Child Protection Network, and Nigerian Network of NGOs she also works in collaboration with many CBOs and NGOs. She is also a graduate of Redeemers Bible College and a Minister with one of the parishes.
Annually, she has organized and celebrated young boys and girls who are practicing life of chastity. A project which earned her the name “mother of virgins”. This year’s celebration makes it the tenth of such celebrations. More than five thousand, seven hundred boys and girls have participated in this moral purity boosting program over time.
Nkechi is so compassionate about the girl child that she has a project for distribution of sanitary pads to poor girls in community schools to mitigate period shame and stigma. Her pet Project, called Project RAD, Promotes Reading, Learning and Communication Culture among students in poor schools. Her work is all inclusive with no stereotypes or religious discrimination. She is married to Dr. Olatunji Odebiyi and she is blessed with two super intelligent and morally sound girls Oluwaseun and Oluwafunmilayo Odebiyi.
